Laois Minor Hurling manager Glen McEvoy has revealed his starting 15 and substitutes for Saturday afternoon's opening game in the Leinster Championship against Kildare. He has also named who'll captain the side and his vice-captains.

Laois will face Kildare in the opening game in Group 2 of Tier 2. They'll be joined in the group by Carlow and Kerry. Those sides meet in Netwatch Cullen Park at 1pm on Saturday, April 5.

St Fintan's Mountrath's Donnchadh Carroll has been named as the captain of the side while Eoin Delaney from The Harps and Daniel Whelan from Castletown have been chosen as the team's vice-captains.

Laois must finish in the top 2 in their group to qualify for a preliminary quarter-final. If they finish at the top of their group, they'll face the second-place team in Group 1, which includes Antrim, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, and Wicklow. Likewise, if they finish second, they'll play the team that tops Group 1.
