Kingston hits seven as Paddock power home in Roinn 4 Camogie final

Paddock claimed the Roinn 4 Camogie Championship in some style following a big victory over Stradbally.

Roise Phelan-Dalton and Charlotte Kingston were on top form as they combined for 7-7 between them. Kingston was the goalscorer while Phelan-Dalton provided the points for Paddock.

Paddock were in charge of this one from the start and raced into a big lead by half time. Roise Phelan-Dalton was outstanding in midfield and scored six brilliant points. Her midfield partner Charlotte Kingston was excellent too as she scored a first-half hat-trick. Kingston also added a point while Ciara Lily Delaney also scored a goal as Paddock led 4-7 to 0-0 at half-time.

Kingston added a fourth goal when play resumed but Stradbally, to their credit, continued to keep playing and were rewarded.

Kate Murphy almost had a goal but when her shot was forced out for a 45, Lily Grant converted it. But Paddock continued on as Charlotte Kingston showed all of her skills to score her fifth goal of the match from a tight angle.

She then made it a double hat-trick by finishing off a move that started on the wing. Stradbally did carry a threat down the other end still, and Grant scored their second point before adding a third from range.

Grant then raised a green flag as her powerful shot looped into the top corner of the Paddock net. But Kingston finished proceedings with Paddock’s fourth goal to ensure the win. TEAMS AND SCORERS BELOW PICTURE.
