Laois will return to the hallowed turf of Croke Park this weekend, 12 months on from their defeat to Offaly in the Joe McDonagh Cup final. This time around, it'll be a Kildare side that Tommy Fitzgerald's Laois will face in his first year as manager. The winner of Sunday's game will seal their spot in the 2026 Leinster Senior Hurling Championship. Both teams will also enter this year's Senior Hurling Championship at the preliminary quarter-final stage. The Joe McDonagh Cup winners will welcome Dublin to either Portlaoise/ Newbridge with Tipperary travelling to face the beaten finalists. Laois remain the only Joe McDonagh side to have reached an All-Ireland quarter-final.The photos are courtesy of Denis Byrne and Sportsfile.
