The Park-Ratheniska U-15 Féile team
Excitement is building in Park-Ratheniska LGFA as their U15 girls prepare to represent Laois in the national John West Féile competition later this month.
The talented young side will travel to Derry where they will compete in the Division 2 Féile against top teams from across the country. It’s a historic occasion for the club, as this marks the first time a Park-Ratheniska ladies team has ever qualified for a Féile competition.
The girls earned their place by claiming victory in the Laois 'A' Féile at the end of April, a remarkable achievement that the club is rightly proud of.
To celebrate this milestone and raise some final funds ahead of the big trip, Park-Ratheniska LGFA will host a Family Fun Day this Sunday, June 22nd, starting at 12 noon.
A wide variety of activities are planned for all ages, promising a fun-filled afternoon for the whole community. Events will include an Ice Bucket Challenge, Long Puck Competition, Hanging Tough, athletic races, a bake sale, target games, face painting, and a Top Bins Soccer Challenge. All games are priced at €2 each or 3 for €5, with plenty of entertainment and excitement guaranteed throughout the day.
It’s set to be a fantastic day for the local community to come together, show their support for the U15 panel, and enjoy the fun, all while backing a Laois team heading for the national stage.
