On Thursday June 26, players from clubs across Laois came together in the foyer of the Laois Shopping Centre to launch this year's Laois Club Football and Hurling Championships. The Senior Hurling Championship is set to get underway in Friday, July 11 when Abbeyleix take on The Harps while the Senior Football Championship will kick-off with county champions Portarlington taking on The Heath on Wednesday, July 23. Photographer Denis Byrne went along for the Leinster Express/ Laois Live to capture all the action from the launch.
