Rosenallis GAA Club has taken a major step forward in their ambitious development plans, with confirmation that they’ve now received formal approval to begin construction on their long-awaited new clubhouse. The club, which lodged a planning application with Laois County Council in April 2023, was granted conditional approval in June of that year. After extensive fundraising efforts and meticulous preparation behind the scenes, the green light has now been given to move ahead with the build. A commencement notice will be lodged with the council shortly, and work on-site is expected to begin before the end of July. The new facility will include dressing rooms, meeting rooms, toilets, and a range of ancillary services designed to serve the growing needs of players, coaches, and the local community. “This would not be possible without the hard work of our committee and the very generous support of our local community and surrounding villages,” the club said in a post on social media. They also shared a selection of design visuals showing what the completed clubhouse is expected to look like, offering an exciting glimpse into the future for the club.
