Una Brophy with GAA Handball President Conor McDonnell, her opponent Clare Conway and Men’s Senior 60x30 All-Ireland champion Gary McConnell
Cullohill handballer Úna Brophy is celebrating All-Ireland glory after winning the Ladies Junior 60x30 Championship final in Kells, Meath.
Laois' Brophy produced a superb performance to defeat Clare Conway of Tyrone in a hard-fought decider. She made a blistering start, taking the opening game on a 21-8 scoreline. The second game proved a much tighter battle between two outstanding players, but Brophy held her composure to claim the crucial aces when it mattered most, sealing a 21-18 win and with it the All-Ireland title.
The victory is a richly deserved reward for Brophy’s dedication to training and her relentless drive to improve her game.
