Four Laois stars have been recognised for their outstanding performances in the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship, following their side’s run to the final.

Despite losing out to Tyrone in the final on August 3, Laois saw goalkeeper Eimear Barry, defenders Clodagh Dunne and Andrea Moran, who captained the team this year, and forward Emma Lawlor named on the Team of the Championship.

The selections, made by the LGFA’s All-Star committee, honour individual excellence throughout the Intermediate and Junior Championships. Tyrone, the eventual Intermediate champions, claimed seven spots on the team, while Louth dominated the Junior Team of the Championship.

For Laois, the recognition is a proud moment, highlighting the talent and commitment within the county squad, which performed strongly throughout the competition to reach the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate final at Croke Park.

Ladies Gaelic Football Association President, Trina Murray, commented: “The 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Junior and Intermediate Championships provided brilliant football and entertainment. The Championships concluded with our finals at Croke Park on Sunday, August 3, where the honours went to Louth in the Junior grade, and Tyrone at the Intermediate level.

“These were particularly sweet wins for both counties, who lost out in the 2024 finals, but returned 12 months later to claim silverware. Tyrone will return to the Senior Championship ranks for 2025, while Louth will operate in the Intermediate grade.  Well done to both of our champions, and I also wish to acknowledge the outstanding efforts and contributions or all teams who competed in the 2025 Championships.
“A special word of thanks, also, to TG4 for their continued and outstanding commitment to our sport. I also wish to acknowledge TG4, our championship sponsors and official broadcast partner. TG4 have been with us for almost a quarter of a century now and our current contract runs until the conclusion of the 2027 TG4 All-Ireland Championships. Our appreciation, as always, goes to TG4 Director General, Deirdre Ní Choistín, Head of Sport, Rónán Ó Coisdealbha, and the entire TG4 team for their outstanding commitment to our sport.
“On linear TV and across their various social media channels, TG4 worked incredibly hard to ensure that Ladies Gaelic Football was front and centre throughout the summer months. It was a wonderful season of coverage.”
Deirdre Ní Choistín, Ard-Stiúrthóir TG4, added: “Comhghairdeas ó chroí leis na himreoirí ar fad ón gCraobh Sóisearach agus ón gCraobh Idirmheánach a ainmníodh inniu. Is iad Aontroim, Lú, Laois agus Tír Eoghain a bhain Páirc an Chrócaigh amach do Chluichí Ceannais na hÉireann. Ní fhéadfaidh ach buaiteoir amháin a bheith i ngach ceann dár gCluichí Ceannais agus is iad Lú ag an leibhéal sóisearach agus Tír Eoghain sa ghrád Idirmheánach a thug leo an bua."
“TG4 is immensely proud of our long-standing partnership with the LGFA and of our role in bringing Ladies Gaelic Football to audiences across the country and beyond. As we celebrate the 2025 TG4 Teams of the Championship, we recognise not only the exceptional achievements of the players but also the importance of continuing to showcase and promote this wonderful sport. Our commitment remains steadfast as we look ahead to many more years of partnership and celebration.” SEE FULL TEAM BELOW.

The TG4 Teams of the Championship awards will be presented at a ceremony in Croke Park on Friday, October 24.
