Laois GAA have confirmed their management teams at Senior, U-20 and Minor level for both football and hurling ahead of the 2026 inter-county campaigns. It comes at the end of a mixed year for the county across the grades.
The senior hurlers endured relegation from Division 1B of the Allianz Hurling League but recovered to reach a second successive Joe McDonagh Cup final. However, heartbreak followed again in Croke Park as they fell to Kildare.
The senior footballers finished sixth in Division 3 of the Allianz League before their season came to a disappointing end with a heavy defeat to Westmeath in the preliminary quarter-finals of the Tailteann Cup.
At U-20 level, the hurlers pulled off one of the results of the year when they stunned Wexford in Wexford Park, before eventually bowing out to provincial champions and All-Ireland runners-up Kilkenny. The U-20 footballers struggled for consistency, drawing with Carlow and Wexford but losing heavily to Kildare, before their campaign ended with a heavy defeat to Westmeath in the Andrew Corden Cup.
The minor hurlers enjoyed some highlights, including a 7-23 to 0-13 win over Offaly, before losing to Wexford in the Leinster quarter-final. The minor footballers were eliminated in the group stages of Leinster but progressed to the All-Ireland Tier 3 series, where they recorded wins over Wexford and Antrim before bowing out to Wicklow in the semi-final.
With preparations now turning to 2026, Laois GAA have confirmed the following management teams. Niall Corcoran, who had been a coach/selector with the Laois senior hurlers in 2025, has moved on and will take up the same role with the Kilkenny hurlers next season. Tipperary's Aidan Stakelum and Galway's Jeff Lynskey have been added to Tommy Fitzgerald's backroom team.
