What began as a modest local club has blossomed into a powerhouse of youth talent, showing how skill, structure, and a strong community ethos can produce a golden generation.

On Sunday, September 28, Emo travelled to Myshall in Co. Carlow to face defending champions St. Martin’s of Wexford in the Minor Men and Minor Mixed finals.

In the Minor Men’s final, Emo got off to a flying start, leading 13-1 after the first innings. St. Martin’s tightened their fielding and changed pitchers, making the remainder of the game much closer, but Emo held on to win 13-8.

The Minor Mixed final proved tighter still. No runs were scored in the opening innings, and both teams traded scores in the third. Ultimately, Emo’s greater experience saw them edge St. Martin’s 9-8.

With most players still eligible for U16 next season, Emo looks set to remain a dominant force. Many underage players have now won 15 or more All-Ireland titles, with Raife Eogan boasting 18 underage titles already, an extraordinary feat for a U15 player.
