Young GAA stars in Laois are being invited to showcase their talents at this year’s Scór na nÓg.
The competition is open to all GAA members under 17 (aged 17 on 1st January 2025) who can dance, sing, play an instrument, tell a story, or take part in a novelty act.
Participants will compete in a variety of events, including céilí dancing, solo singing, instrumental music, recitation/storytelling, ballad group, novelty acts, set dancing, and a table quiz.
Winners in each category will advance to the Leinster semi-finals on Saturday, 22nd November, with the Leinster final taking place a few weeks later. Organisers are encouraging all young GAA members with a flair for the arts to get involved and make their mark in this exciting annual event.
This year's Scór na nÓg will take place on Sunday, November 9, at 4pm in the LOETB Centre of Excellence, Portlaoise. For more information, contact Sean Conroy at 087 1775651.
