Laois GAA's Head of Coaching is set to add another entry to his extensive and varied sporting CV with reports that he is to hook up with Wexford GAA's senior hurling squad.
Rathdowney man Shane Keegan is reportedly teaming up with Keith Rossiter’s set-up for the upcoming season in the sunny southeast.
Apart from being involved in coaching the Wexford star Lee Chin, the Wexford job is likely also to bring him into contact with the former world boxing champion Bernard Dunne. He is Wexford GAA head of talent and culture development.
It will be another significant milestone for Keegan, who has held multiple sports coaching jobs especially in Gaelic games and soccer.
He is best known nationally for his coaching career in soccer, having managed Wexford Youths, Cobh Ramblers, and Galway Utd to varying degrees of success.
He was also heavily involved with Dundalk FC in recent years, a job that saw him in the dugout as the designated manager in a European tie versus Arsenal in the Emirates Stadium, where he shared a touchline with Mikel Arteta. MORE BELOW PHOTO.

The Laois man, who has a UEFA Pro License, has been involved with local soccer in Laois, including his home town club Clover Utd.
The former newspaper ad salesman has worked with his own Rathdowney Errill GAA and Portlaoise GAA. He was responsible for Tipperary club JK Brackens' senior football and hurling sides in 2024.
