Last weekend saw the return of inter-county GAA action as the Laois senior footballers and hurlers got their O’Byrne and Walsh Cup campaigns underway. Justin McNulty’s footballers lost out to Dublin in Ratheniska, while Tommy Fitzgerald’s hurlers were beaten by Wexford in Rathdowney.
