The Laois senior football team for Sunday’s trip to Ennis to face Clare has been named by manager Justin McNulty.

The Armagh native has opted to stick with the same starting 15 that secured their first league win of the campaign last weekend against Sligo.

Some players have different numbers this week, though the team itself is unchanged, but one would expect that Laois will still line out with a full-forward line of Rioghan Murphy, Daragh Galvin and Evan O’Carroll. The trio combined for 15 points against Sligo, with Murphy and O’Carroll finishing as Laois’ top scorers on six points apiece.

Simon Fingleton from Park-Ratheniska will wear the number four in Ennis, having worn number 15 against Sligo after replacing Niall Corbet on the 26-man matchday panel.

Ballyroan-Abbey’s Aaron McEvoy returns to the matchday squad for the first time this year, while clubmate Killian Byrne is also named among the substitutes and could be in line to make his Allianz Football League debut should McNulty call upon him. Portarlington captain Ronan Coffey also returns to the 26 after missing the Sligo game through injury.
