Tommy Fitzgerald has given several players an opportunity to impress after naming his Laois senior hurling team for their final round clash in Division 2 of the Allianz Hurling League against London this weekend.

With Laois already promoted and guaranteed top spot in the division, Fitzgerald has made 13 changes to the side that defeated Meath by 17 points last time out. Only Jordan Walshe and Aaron Dunphy retain their places in the starting 15 for the trip to Ruislip.

There is also a welcome return to the 26 for Diarmaid Conway, who has not featured since Clough/Ballacolla’s Leinster Club Championship semi-final defeat to Ballyhale Shamrocks in November 2025. Elsewhere, Gearóid Lynch and Ben Conroy both return from injury and are named to start.

Laois travel to McGovern Park knowing the result will not affect their promotion, but the game provides an ideal chance for squad players to stake a claim for a starting spot in next weekend's league final or maybe even a place in the Laois starting 15 for the first game in the Joe McDonagh Cup against Carlow on the weekend of April 18/19.

LAOIS: Eoin Fleming (Borris-Kilcotton); David O'Brien (Clonad), Padraic Dunne (The Harps), Joseph Pearson (Clough/Ballacolla); Eoghan Murphy (The Harps), Fiachra C Fennell (Rosenallis), Jordan Walshe (Clough/Ballacolla); Gearóid Lynch (Ballinakill), Fionán Mahony (Abbeyleix); Martin Phelan (Castletown), Aaron Dunphy (Borris-Kilcotton), Fionn Holland (Clonad); Colin Byrne (Abbeyleix), Ben Conroy (Slieve Bloom), Cormac Byrne (Abbeyleix).
