A large Laois GAA contingent is set to descend on the opening day of this year’s Punchestown Festival, as the county’s popular annual Race Day returns to one of the biggest fixtures in the Irish racing calendar.
The event, a key fundraising and social occasion for Laois GAA, traditionally attracts strong support from across the county, with supporters, clubs, and players coming together for a day at the races in Kildare.
Due to a small number of late cancellations, Laois GAA have confirmed that a limited number of tickets have now become available for this year’s event, priced at €160 per person.

Each ticket includes access to a reserved enclosure badge, a complimentary race card, a guest tipster, a four-course lunch, and afternoon tea food platters with tea and coffee. Guests will also enjoy panoramic views of the track, access to private bar and betting facilities, as well as spot prizes, raffles, and live televised racing and entertainment throughout the day.
The Race Day, which is sponsored by Nostra, was officially launched by Laois GAA a few weeks ago.

In attendance at the launch were Laois senior football manager Justin McNulty, Laois senior hurling manager Tommy Fitzgerald, Laois senior football captain Brian Byrne, and Laois senior hurling captain David Dooley, alongside Laois GAA chairman PJ Kelly and sponsors Nostra. They were also joined by jockey Sam Ewing on a horse.
The event continues to be an important occasion for Laois GAA, both as a fundraiser and as a chance for supporters and players to connect away from the pitch in a social setting at one of Ireland’s premier racing festivals.
Anyone wishing to purchase one of the remaining tickets or find out more information is encouraged to contact Pam in the Laois GAA office on (057) 86 60674 to secure a place.
