BALLYROAN ABBEY

Dinner Dance
The BallyroanAbbey Dinner Dance will take place in the Castle Arms Hotel, Durrow on Saturday 17th February. The club is celebrating Ballyroan's Laois Senior County championship winning team from 1992 and Leinster Club Finalists. A presentation will be made to the 1992 panel and selectors on the night. We will also have a medal presentation to our Junior League Winning team of last year. Music by Damian Bowe & The Vows. 2018 Members Draw
Tickets for the 2018 Laois GAA All County Clubs Members Draw are now available. Along with our weekly Lotto, this is our sole fund-raising draw each year and we would hope that all our members and supporters would give us their support and assistance by purchasing at least a part share of a ticket, if not more if they feel they wish to.
Only tickets bought from Courtwood GAA club will see your money going back to help out in the day to day running of our club, so please, ensure you buy your ticket from Courtwood GAA club members only.
There are four draws with over €100,000 in prizes including a first prize of €10,000 each month. Tickets are €130 and can be paid off monthly, can be shared or paid off in instalments by direct debit.
Again, we thank you as always for your kind and generous support.

Scór
It’s that time of year again when Scór comes to the fore in our club.
What is Scór? It's the GAA's inter club and county talent competition and caters for ballad singing, solo singing, instrumental music, recitation and Irish dancing. There's also a quiz competition and a short drama sketch competition for any budding actors out there.

LAOIS GAA

Senior Scór
Scór Sinsir/Senior Scór takes place in St Fintan's Hall Mountrath on Friday, 23rd February at 8pm - Registration will open at 7.30pm. Further information on categories and rules can be found on Laois GAA website.

Scór na nÓg All Irelands
Congratulations to Borris-Kilcotton (Instrumental Musci) and Portlaoise (Table Quiz) who have reached the All-Ireland finals of Scór na nÓg which will take place on Saturday 17th in Sligo. We wish both groups the very best of luck.

Results for draw on February 5. Numbers were: 4, 8, 16, 25. No Jackpot winner. Match 3 winner was Johnny Doonan. Promoter - Liam Finlay. Next week's Jackpot: €5000.

Dinner Dance
Many thanks to all who attended the Dinner Dance on Saturday night last in the Ballesteros Suite, The Heritage Resort Clubhouse, Killenard. It proved to be a great night’s entertainment. Our senior team were presented with their Division 1 league medals on the night by club legend Seamus Connolly. Darran Finlay received the Club Person of the Year award in appreciation of the time and dedication he has give to the club thus far. Darran was also a player on our victorious Division 1 winning team. Thanks to our MC for the night John Joe O'Connell who kept the crowd thoroughly entertained throughout the evening by adding his own flair and wit to the night's proceedings. Thanks to photographer Con Murphy and the DJ Mark Neilon who entertained us for the night. Lastly a big thanks Judge Roy Beans for the lovely meal and to all those involved in organising the event. It was a great success and was enjoyed by all.

2018 All County Clubs Members Draw
Tickets are currently on sale. This is the Club's primary revenue sources with O'Dempsey's GAA taking home close to 3/4's of the purchase price. We have many different debit options available to pay for these tickets. Your support is greatly appreciated. Contact any Club member for more information.

Membership

Juvenile Registration Day
O'Dempsey's juvenile club are holding their annual registration day on Sunday the 18th of February from 11:30 to 13:00 in our clubhouse. We remind all existing and new members that the option of direct debit will be available on the day, which is a great way of signing up for membership, lotto and a county board ticket.

Tickets are currently on sale for the 2018 Laois GAA All County Clubs Members Draw. We wish to thank everyone who supported it in 2017, your support for the County Draw enables us to provide & maintain facilities & equipment & also keep our registration fees at a lower level that other sports/activities.
The Annual Fund Raising initiative run by the Laois County Board, it is one of our Clubs primary revenue sources with Park/Ratheniska taking home close to 3/4's of the purchase price. However only tickets bought from the Park/Ratheniska GAA Club benefit the Park/Ratheniska GAA Club, so please make sure to buy your tickets from a GAA Club member.
We now have an payment plan which you can avail of should you so wish. More information on it can be found on the plan on our website, www.parkratheniskagaa.com, but essentially you can roll your membership, club lotto and All County Clubs Members Draw into the one monthly payment of €18, spread out over 12 months, and save yourself €30.
Tickets are €130 each and can be sourced from any GAA Club member. And if you feel you can't purchase a full ticket, then half and quarter shares are also available, so please, do what you can! Thank you all once again for your continued support.

2018 Football & Hurling Cul Camp Dates Announced
We are delighted to announce that following the success of last years camps, we will once again host TWO Cúl Camps in 2018, a Football Cúl Camp from July 2nd to July 6th, and a Hurling Cúl Camp which will run from August 20th to August 24th.
Both of last years Camps were hugely popular, and we would anticipate both these camps to draw similar numbers. Registration will open later in the year, and we will inform you when you can start booking.

Rathdowney-Errill juvenile registration night will take place on Friday February 16th in the Rathdowney Clubhouse from 7-9pm. Registration fee is €30 per child or €50 for two or more. We cater for ages 5 to 17 and all are welcome. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

County Board Draw
The club are actively selling the €130 all county board draw tickets presently. All funds raised will go towards the benefit of the club and it's maintenance, your assistance is greatly appreciated. Training for the Intermediate footballers continues, we played Ballyfin last Sunday in the opening game of the Kelly Cup (check this paper for report) we now play Arles Kileen this coming Sunday to establish who will go forward in the competition. Our hurling amalgamation is working well and training continues.
