GAA - Laois U-17 football panel confirmed for 2018 season

Laois U-17 football manager Donncha Phelan has announced his finalised panel for the 2018 season.

A total of 35 players have made the cut, after more than 80 turned up for the trials in an attempt to get to this stage. 

Laois have been drawn in Group 2 of the newly reformed Leinster championship, along with Wexford, Kildare, Carlow and Longford. Their campaign begins on May 7, when they host Longford.

The Laois panel in full is as follows;

Oisín Keogh, Seán Greene, Ned Ryan, Paul O'Flynn, Seth Burns Mooney, Seán O'Neill (all Emo Courtwood The Rock);

Michael Bennett, Cathal Bennett, Sean Michael Corcoran, Darragh Galvin, Rioghan Murphy (all Portarlington);

Seamus Farrelly, Josh Lacey, Josh O'Brien, Jamie Kelly (all St Joseph's);

Eamonn Delaney, Conor Goode, Killian McGannon, Mark O'Connell (all Stradbally Parish Gaels);

Cathal Doyle, Enda McWey, Ciaran Byrne, Brian Whelan (all Ballyroan Abbey);

Damon Larkin, Ben Conroy, Niall Carey (all Portlaoise);

Ross Bolger, Orrie Doran, Ciaran Burke (all Killeshin-Crettyard);

William Reilly (Sarsfields);

Brian Fingleton (Park Ratheniska);

Laois' fixtures for their Leinster Minor Championship are as follows;

May 7th - Laois v Longford

May 23rd - Wexford v Laois

May 30th - Laois v Carlow

June 27th - Kildare v Laois.

If Laois finish in the top two of the group, they will secure a place in the semi-finals of the championship, while a third or fourth place finish qualifies them for the Shield competition last four.
