 BALLINAKILL 

Club Lotto
Results for draw on 7th March, numbers were 2, 9, 27 and 29. We had no jackpot winner. We had one €20 draw winner (Mary Costello).
On behalf of all adult and juvenile team members we thank you for your continued support. (Remember tickets only €2 so please support, this is our main weekly fundraiser and be in with a chance to win next weeks €9,800 Jackpot.)

Juvenile Awards Night
Well done to all who organised a fantastic evening on Saturday last, which was attended by over 240 people. There was some very encouraging words from Director of Hurling, Martin Fogarty.
As we start a new year and look to the future his words of constant practice and playing the game in the correct manner were very apt.

Senior footballers
Our senior footballers kick off their division 3 league campaign this Saturday with an away fixture against Camross. Throw in: 4:30pm.

ACFL Div 1A
Ballyroan Abbey 1-13 Portarlington 0-11. A great first game against a strong young Portarlington team. Nice to get the two points from our first game, a good start and some early momentum. It was great to get Enda McWey, Cathal Doyle & Dylan Cuddy into the senior team and none of them let us down. Great teamwork from all the lads. Onwards and upwards big thanks to Niall Ryan, Bob Cole and Mog Fitz and all in Abbeyleix GAA who allowed us to use their pitch and got it mowed and marked in double quick time. One Parish working together.

Camogie
Congratulations to the Camross girls who played a major part in helping Laois claim their first victory in the league played in awful conditions at Derrynaseera on last Saturday week and their next outing is at home to Antrim.

Last weeks winners in the Crettyard footballers lotto were Kathleen Doyle, Kilgorey, James Dunne, 5 Doonane Terrace, Saoirse May Doyle, Kilgorey and Fintan Lawlor, c/o Tommy Doyle, Turra. The winning numbers were 4, 9, 21, 25.

Membership
Crettyard GAA membership is now open and all are welcome to join. With teams entered into competition from U-7 through to U-20 and adult. Contact Jason Kearney or Martin Patterson for further details.

Senior Football
Well done to Crettyard Seniors who had a fine win over Graiguecullen on Thursday night with the match having being played in Graiguecullen. The final score was Crettyard 0-16, Graiguecullen 0-7.

Championship Draws
In the Laois SFC, Crettyard are drawn to meet Arles-Killeen in the first round with the match being played on the weekend of 26th July. The Junior 'C' team are drawn against Park Ratheniska in Round 1 and this match will be played on Wednesday 24th July.

 ERRILL

There was no winning jackpot ticket last Monday night. Numbers drawn were 2, 21, 22, 28. There were four 'Match 3' tickets winning €25 each Pat Dowling, Clonmeen, Ann Wall, Rossmore, Noel O'Loughlin, Rathdowney and Gerard Wall, Rossmore. Next week's jackpot will be €4,600. Tickets for the draw are available in Errill Post Office, Dowling's Bar, Ray's Bar and from local promoters.

 LAOIS SCÓR 

Scór na bPaistí
Laois Scór na bPaistí takes place this year on Saturday 06th April in St Fintan’s Hall Mountrath at 3pm sharp, registration from 2pm. This competition is open to all GAA members of primary school age who can dance, sing, tell a yarn, play an instrument or be part of a novelty group. So why not get your club involved? For your information, Scór competitions are organized along similar lines to hurling and Gaelic football championships where the following events take place:
- Rince Fóirne (Céilí Dancing)
- Amhránaíocht Aonair (Solo Singing)
- Ceol Uirlise (Instrumental Music)
- Aithriseoirecht/Scealaíocht (Recitation/Storytelling)
- Bailéad Ghrúpa (Ballad Group)
- Leiriú (Novelty Act)
- Rince Seit (Set Dancing)
- Tráth na gCeisteanna (Table Quiz)
This promises to be a very entertaining afternoon with several clubs all ready expressing an interest in same. To facilitate everyone, Ballad Groups just need to sing one song on the evening whilst Instrumental Groups only need to play one tune. Gaeltacht Scholarship Applications
Laois GAA have a limited number of Gaeltacht scholarship grants available for 2019. Anyone interested should apply in writing to Michael Martin c/o Laois GAA, LOETB, Portlaoise, Co Laois.

Dinner Dance
Slieve Bloom Dinner Dance will take place in the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel on the 23rd of March. Doors open at 7pm, Dinner at 7.30. Tickets are Available at €35. Everyone is very welcome. Music by Sandy Cooper and band followed by DJ Noel Brennan

 THE HEATH 

Senior Football
Congratulations to our senior footballers, who kicked off their ACFL Division 1A campaign with a win over St Joseph's in Kellyville on Sunday. Played in difficult conditions, we emerged winners on a scoreline of 0-10 to 2-2. It was a good start to the league, with Kellyville never an easy place to go and get a result. Round 2 is not until March 30, when we will have our first home game of the year, against Arles-Kilcruise. Our Juniors will be in action the week before, when they play Portarlington's Junior team in ACFL Division 2.
