Laois manager Justin McNulty has named his team for this Friday night’s All-Ireland Qualifier against Carlow, with only five players set to start in the positions they played in against Louth.
As expected, Justin McNulty has made wholesale changes to his team for the must-win game, with five players also drafted into the starting 15. Paul Begley comes into the full-back line at right corner-back, as Mark Timmons takes over from the injured Denis Booth at full-back. Kieran Lillis is named at centre-back, with John O’Loughlin moved out to start at midfield, alongside Padraig Clancy, who is forced back to his old position due to Laois’ shortage of options for the middle of the park.
Billy Sheehan is also recalled at wing-forward, while Conor Meredith will make his first senior championship start for Laois at centre-forward. It will be an all-Arles full-forward line, whith Kilcruise duo David Conway and Ross Munnelly in the corners and Killeen’s Donie Kingston at full-forward.
Throw in for this Friday’s game is 7.45pm in Dr Cullen Park.
