KILLESHIN make their debut in Celebrity Bainisteoir this Saturday when they face Tipperary side Ballyporeen at 2pm in Killeshin Club Grounds.
A large crowd is expected for the game as Irish soccer legend Tony Cascarino takes charge of the Laois side who have been training hard for their television debut.
He will be very familiar with the opposition manager as Gillian Quinn, wife of his former Irish team-mate Niall Quinn, takes charge of Ballyporeen.
More famous as being the ancestral home of former United States President Ronald Reagan, Ballyporeen are in a rich vein of form in the Tipperary South Championship as they qualified for the final with a win last weekend over Moyle Rovers.
As part of their preparations, Ballyporeen had a session with the University of Limerick American Football team.
However Killeshin have also been training hard under Tony Cascarino and are sure to ready to go for this Saturday’s game.
Admission to the match is free and it promises to be a great day out and the legendary radio personality Michael O Muircheartaigh will be down also to do the commentary on the day.
Killeshin GAA would appreciate the support of all Laois clubs on the day.
