Visually impaired adults given the chance to try out golf in The Heath GAA Golf  Club

The Heath Golf Club.

Laois is now the county with the largest amount of Vision Impaired Sports. This Saturday, there is a Come and Try event for people with vision impairments to try golf.

The come and try event is led by PGA Coach, Mark O'Boyle and volunteers. O'Boyle has been Head Professional at the golf club since 2002.

The Heath Golf Club posted this message on their Facebook page. 'We are delighted to be hosting this event. Please be mindful of others around you on the day, as they may not be as visually aware of you as you are of them. We hope our visitors enjoy the golf.'

The event tees of at 2pm and is also supported by Laois Sports Partnership, Sport Ireland and Vision Sports Ireland.
