Portlaoise GAA’s Annual Golf Classic took place at The Heath Golf Club on Friday, May 2, with a fantastic turnout and competitive scoring across the board. While the event was all about enjoyment on the day, the results were tallied afterwards, and it was the team of Mick Lillis, Martin Morrissey, Ann Murphy and Pat Murphy who claimed 1st place with 100 points. Colm and Ben O’Reilly, John Conroy and Cathal Grant finished 2nd on countback with 99 points, just ahead of Teddy McCormack, Brian McCormack, Ivan Byrne and John Burke in 3rd. Fourth spot went to Peter, Donal and John Booth alongside Cormac Beere (98 points), while the Non-GUI prize was won by Dean Cullen, James Conroy, Chris Finn and Jason Maher (87 points). John Croke was the lucky card winner.
