The 2026 golfing season at Portarlington Golf Club was officially launched on Sunday, March 8, with the annual Captains Drive-In. Captains Pat Culleton and Mary Fallon, accompanied by Junior Captains Shay McEvoy and Carla McEvoy, made a stylish entrance courtesy of John Conroy and his classic 1991 BMW. Members gathered to welcome the captains and mark the start of another exciting year on the course. Photographer Michael Scully sent in some pictures to the Leinster Express/ Laois Live.
