This is the second landslide result in the  Laois Offaly constituency after more than 75% voted no in the family amendment referendum

Declared results from the constituency showed 9,674 'Yes' votes and 38,779 'No' votes to the proposal.

The care referendum has been resoundingly defeated in the Laois Offaly constituency with 80 per cent voting no at the polls. 


Declared results from the constituency showed 9,674 'Yes' votes and 38,779 'No' votes to the proposal to delete references in the constitution to a woman’s roles and duties in the home, and replacing it with a new article that acknowledges family carers.


This is the second landslide result in the  Laois Offaly constituency after more than 75% voted no in the family amendment referendum.
