Students attending the open day on March 20.
Over 300 prospective students turned out for Portlaoise Institute's open day which showcased the diverse educational opportunities they have on offer.
The event, held on March 20, provided information about more than 24 full time and 30 plus part-time courses on offer for September 2024.
Among the attendees were students from various neighbouring secondary schools, Dunamase
College, Colaiste Iosagain, CBS Portlaoise, Mountmellick Community School, and Portlaoise College.
Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to interact with teachers and students,
participate in hands-on demonstrations, and learn more about the wide array of courses available at Portlaoise Institute.
The Open Day also provided a platform for prospective students to gain insight into the institute's facilities and supportive learning environment.
Principal Keith McClearn said: "We were delighted to welcome such a large number of enthusiastic students to our Open Day, it is a testament to the growing recognition of Portlaoise Institute as a premier educational institution in the region”.
