The Stradbally Steam Rally gets ready to celebrate 60 years
The National Steam Rally in Stradbally is gearing up to celebrate their 60th anniversary this August Bank Holiday weekend.
Organisers have announced details of this year's event which will include 60 full sized steam engines on display to celebrate the big milestone.
The weekend (August 3 & 4) will include a woodland railway, oil engines, vintage cars, tractors and trucks, a pet farm, amusements and trade stalls.
There will be a craft village, food tents, a sawbench display, dog show, blacksmith's village, helicopter rides, road making and wood turning displays and sheepdog demonstrations.
The popular steam and vintage parade will get underway from 5.30pm on Saturday, August 3. Over the weekend there will be a live music stage with country music singer Cliona Hagan performing on Sunday, August 4. Tickets are now on sale via www.irishsteam.net.
