Portlaoise talk on Laois during the Civil War to take place this week

Laois Heritage Society is hosting a talk on Laois during the Civil War in Portlaoise this Thursday, April 25. 


Laois native Dr. Cormac Moore, a Dublin City Historian in Residence,  will give the interesting talk in The Midlands Park Hotel at 8pm. 


Dr Moore has authored books on Irish history such as The Birth of the Border, and Irish sports history, and will launch a Four Courts Press publication Laois : The Irish Revolution, 1912−1923 this coming summer. 

"We are delighted to welcome Cormac back to Portlaoise to talk about Laois during the Civil War era," said the Laois Heritage Society. 

"All are welcome to attend this very topical lecture. Admission fee is free for members, and €5 for non-members. Membership, €20 pa, is available on the night. For queries, please contact laoisheritagesocietywebsite@gmail.com."
