The owner of the €500,000 EuroMillions Plus draw ticket sold in Laois on Monday has made contact with the National Lottery.

National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Ruane confirmed “they have made contact” in relation to the win.

The Quick Pick ticket for Tuesday night’s EuroMillions draw was sold in Daybreak on Main Street, Borris-in-Ossory on Monday, May 13.

“The ticket was confirmed. We do have a winner,” said Ms Ruane.

“You can call off the search for tickets,” she said.

Ms Ruane said she wasn’t able to give any details about the winner of the life-changing sum but she expects the prize to be collected in the coming weeks.
