Emo Court Garden coffee shop CaToCa once again picked up a prestigious award at the Irish Hospitality Awards on Monday.

The popular food spot won the award for Best Restaurant Team for the second year running, with the staff saying in a post online that they were "delighted" to receive the honour.

"We are delighted to have won the Irish Hospitality Awards for best restaurant team for the 2nd year in a row in Ireland , thanks to our wonderful team," CaToCa said in a post on Facebook.

The coffee shop, situated in Emo Court, has previously received rave reviews, with the quality of food and service particularly highlighted.

The winners of the Hospitality Awards were announced at a prestigious ceremony held on Monday 1st July at The Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport, where thriving professionals gathered together for a celebration of the hospitality industry.

A Spokesperson for the 6th Irish Hospitality Awards 2024 said: ”Working for the hospitality industry can be challenging at times and the last few years have shown that. These awards aim to recognise those who have succeeded in this sector, despite the difficulties.

"The awards provide a platform to thank and honour those who have contributed to making Ireland a friendly and welcoming place, enhancing the country’s reputation nationally and internationally.

"We would like to congratulate all of our Winners & Highly Commended recipients on their incredible accomplishments.”

While there were no other Laois winners, Portlaoise Golf Club was 'Highly Commended' in the best golf club category.
