Electric Picnic organisers say they expect traffic leaving the Electric Picnic will be heaviest between 10am and 4pm today.

An earlier multi vehicle collision on the M7 near Newbridge in Kildare has now been cleared.

Electric Picnic Traffic Management teams and An Garda Siochana will direct vehicles from each parking area in different directions to reduce volume on each route. “Follow signage and directions from An Garda Siochana - turn off sat nav as this may lead you into the road closures and restrictions in place for the event,” they said.

Make sure you are ok to drive drug/drink driving is not a safe trip. There are RSA(Road Safety Authority) breathalyser activations in the Red and Yellow car parks and also in the General Campervan Campsite. Do not risk it wait until you are ok to travel safe,” they stated.
