A man who was arrested in Laois by Gardaí investigating cross border terrorism has been released.
The man, who is aged in his 30s, was arrested in Portlaoise on Wednesday afternoon.
Gardaí said tonight the man has been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
He was the third person to be arrested in connection with the cross border investigation. Two men who have been before the courts remain in custody.
