A number of searches have been carried out by Gardai investigating the murder of a boy and woman in Offaly.
Three houses are being searched by Gardaí who are investigating the murder of Tadhg Farrell(4) and Mary Holt(60) in an arson attack on a house in Castleview Park, Edenderry, Co. Offaly on the evening of Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Gardai said “this morning 12th December 2025, investigating Gardaí from the Serious Crime Unit, Laois/Offaly Garda Division are carrying out three searches at Domestic residences in Co Kildare and Co Offaly.
The Garda Investigation team was supported by National Units including Special Tactics & Operations Command (STOC), Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (GNBCI) and units from Laois/Offaly Garda Division and Kildare/Carlow Garda Division.”

They said gardaí continue to appeal to any person with any information on this violent fatal incident to speak with investigating Gardaí.
