RIP: A pedestrian has died following a serious collision this morning

A man has died following a crash between a bus, car and a pedestrian near the Offaly border in Co Kildare this morning. 

Gardaí and emergency services remain at the scene of the fatal collision on the R402 at Kishawanny, Carbury, Co Kildare.

The crash involving a bus, a car and a pedestrian, occurred at approximately 6.30am.

The male pedestrian, who is aged in his 30's, has been pronounced deceased. His body remains at the scene. The coroner has been notified. Gardai said no other injuries were reported at the time.

The scene is being held pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

The R402 at Kishawanny Road junction is currently closed with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 5.45am and 6.45am this morning, Friday, December 12 are being asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
