Laois Offaly Gardaí issued a warning to motorists following a number of crashes on icy roads this morning.
“Gardai are dealing with a number of road collisions this morning around Laois Offaly. Black ice in places.”
They posted an image of a crash at Dalgan on the L1020 in Geashill, County Offaly.
Gardaí said the road is currently closed.
Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution on the roads across Laois and Offaly.
