Portlaoise company bought out by US firm

One of Laois' employment success stories has been bought out by a fast-growing US company, with investment expected to bring more jobs to Portlaoise.

Internal Results, a UK based company, creates sales leads for technology companies seeking business to business sales.

It has its Irish base in Portlaoise IDA business park, with over 50 staff, managed by Portlaoise men Seamus Delaney and Noel Hooban.

It has been bought by its biggest client, Madison Logic for an undisclosed sum.

“Madison is one of the fastest growing US companies. We know them really well and have worked closely with them. They like the building and the area. It will lead to a lot more opportunities and more employment in Portlaoise,” said Mr Delaney.

“Already they have started to look at investing in streamlining the organisation, and there will probably be growth plans,” he told the Leinster Express, adding that there will be no change for existing staff.

“It is an advantage in trying to attract other companies to Laois, Madison are well known, their client list has the top 100 companies in the world,” said Mr Delaney, who works to promote Laois as a place to base business for Connect Ireland.

Already Madison brought some business to the town, with a launch party in the Square Bar last Thursday.

“I am delighted, I hope as a Laois man that it brings in a lot more jobs here,” he said.

Internal Results moved to the formerly deserted IDA business park in August 2014 with 32 staff, renting a quarter of the office space. It is still the only tenant.
