A Portarlington shop is celebrating today (Tuesday, July 5) after it emerged it sold the winning €24m Euromillions ticket last week.

O'Hanlon's Spar, at Station Road, Portarlington sold the winning ticket last Friday evening.

A syndicate of Dublin Bus drivers scooped the €24m jackpot on Friday night.

The 22-member syndicate will receive €1m each from the win.

The National Lottery issued a statement on Monday, confirming that the winning ticket holder had been contacted.
