The people of Portlaoise and others with an interest in the town can have their say at a public meeting next week that aims to get the community's idea on the town centre's regeneration.
Laois County Council is hosting the meeting in conjunction with a team of planners, architects, urban designers and others as part of the preparation of a so-called Public Realm Strategy.
The organisers say the event will act as a foundation for the new Strategy.
The meeting takes place in The Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise on Tuesday, August 30. It gets underway with an address by the council's Chief Executive, John Mullholland on the purpose of the strategy. This will be followed by an round table event where ideas can be given to project team.
