Fog again as  Met Eireann issues Yellow Warning

Motorists are once again warned to care on the roads on foot of more warnings of fog and frost.

Met Éirean has issued another Status Orange fog warning for all of Ireland. It says there will be dense fog over much of the country this evening, overnight and on Friday morning. The warning is in force until 12 noon on Friday, December 2.

The national weather forecaster has issued a Status Yellow Low Temperature warning with Laois and other Leinster counties the worst hit. 

Laois County Council will grit main roads but man rural local roads and housing estates not not get treated. Motorists are advised to take care on the way to and from work and on the way to school.

It says a severe frost will developing this evening and continuing overnight and Friday morning. Lowest temperatures of 0 to -5 degrees, coldest in Leinster. The warning is valid from 6pm on Thursday, to 12 noon on Friday, December 2.

Friday will be a cold day in Leinster. The frost and fog will clear gradually across the province although some patches may linger into the afternoon. Some bright or sunny spells but there will be a fair amount of cloud about. Top temperatures 3 to 10 C in light breezes, coldest where fog persists.
