Gerry Adams to make Dail statement on Brian Stack murder investigation

Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams is to make a statement in the Dail this evening about the investigation into the murder of former Portlaoise Chief Prison Officer, Brian Stack in 1983.

Brian Stack's son, Austin has Deputy Adams of withholding information relating to his father’s murder. He has stated he wants Adams to tell Gardaí the name of the IRA member who investigated his father's death.

"Clearly, Adams has information and he has a duty as a public representative and a citizen to hand over the name of the IRA leader we met, details of any report he got from him and his notes to the Gardaí," said Austin Stack.
