A 40-year-old man has been put off the road for two years for drink driving.
Before the court was Eben Adlen (40), Castle Drive, Kilminchy.
Sgt JJ Kirby gave evidence that the accused was detected driving with 46mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, at Jessop Street, Portlaoise, on November 19, 2017.
The accused had no previous convictions.
Defence, Ms Josephine Fitzpatrick asked the court to consider postponing the driving disqualification for six months to give him time to put his affairs in order.
Judge Catherine Staines convicted and fined him €300 and disqualified him from driving for two years. The disqualification was postponed until August 14 next.
