A Portlaoise man has been charged with stealing cider.
George Buggy, 34, of 5 Lakeglen, Portlaoise, was charged with theft, at Centra, Mountmellick Road, Portlaoise, on April 14, 2018.
Sgt JJ Kirby said the accused had 46 previous convictions, ten of which were for theft offences.
Judge Catherine Staines asked did the accused have any compensation, to which defence solicitor, Ms Josephine Fitzpatrick said he had €10 in court.
Defence said the accused is already in probation and is due back before the court on January 9, 2020.
Judge Staines adjourned the case to that date for a probation report.
