A Wendy's fast food restaurant
Iconic American fast food chain Wendy's is to open a restaurant close to Laois in the Midlands creating 60 new jobs.
Corrib Oil has confirmed that Tullamore Retail Park in Offaly will be home to the second Wendy’s restaurant in Ireland,.
It is expected to open this May.
The new Wendy’s restaurant is expected to create 60 new jobs, with recruitment now underway across a range of roles. Applicants interested in joining the Tullamore restaurant team can find out more at www.wendys.ie.
The Tullamore location will also include a drive-thru, responding to growing customer demand for speed, convenience and choice.
The announcement follows the successful opening of Ireland’s first Wendy’s restaurant at Mahon Point Shopping Centre in Cork last October, which has seen strong customer demand since opening and created more than 60 jobs.
Tullamore Retail Park is located just inside the N52 ring road, five minutes from Tullamore town centre, 25 minutes from Mountmellick.

As with the Cork restaurant, the Tullamore Wendy’s will serve a menu built around 100% fresh Irish beef and hand-breaded chicken burgers and tenders, sourced from Irish-based food companies Kepak and Western Brand. The menu will also feature the brand’s best-known items, including its famous square hamburgers and the iconic Frosty dessert. Breakfast options, wraps and kids’ meals will also be available when the restaurant opens later this spring.

Founded in 1987, Corrib Oil currently operates 41 convenience stores with forecourts and 20 fuel depots across 17 counties.
In Portlaoise it operates in a newly renovated station on the N80 Mountmellick Road. It also operates in a Mountmellick service station on the Tullamore Road.
Corrib Oil operates three distinct divisions: Corrib Retail, Corrib Oil Distribution, and Corrib Brands. The business has established strong long-term partnerships with BWG Foods (operating under its Spar brand), Texaco, Circle K, and popular food chains including Insomnia, Apache Pizza, Subway, and Zambrero.

Over the coming years, Corrib plans to open 10 Wendy’s locations across Ireland, both as standalone restaurants and at select Corrib Oil service stations, creating more than 300 jobs nationwide. Further Wendy’s locations will be announced in due course.
