Laois Gardaí seize Porsche detected at 175kph from driver who tested positive for cocaine

Laois Gardaí seized a Porsche after it was detected doing 175kph on M7 Motorway. 

Laois Roads Policing Unit said “yesterday evening on the M7, we detected this vehicle speeding at 175kph — well above the limit and putting lives at risk.” 

"Upon stopping the driver, they tested positive for cocaine and were arrested at the scene. Further checks revealed the vehicle was untaxed for the previous six months — The vehicle was seized,” said Laois Gardaí.    

Gardaí said  “we remind all motorists: Speed kills. Drugs impair. No tax, no excuse. Let’s keep our roads safe for everyone."
