Introducing Laois Rose 2018 entrant Aisling O'Sullivan

Aisling O'Sullivan, 21 from Derryguile, Mountmellick

The Leinster Express as exclusive Laois Rose media partner is delighted to introduce you to each and every Laois Rose 2018 entrant, ahead of the Laois Rose Selection night this Sunday May 6.

Every day we will profile two more of the contestants. This evening give a big welcome onto our virtual stage for Aisling O'Sullivan, from Mountmellick.

Aisling is aged 21 and lives at home with her parents in Derryguile, Mountmellick in Laois.

"I have a level 8 honours degree in Applied Social studies in Social Care from Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT). I am currently working in Treacys Bar and Restaurant as a waitress which I really enjoy," she said.

"I was working in the Social Care sector in a residential company for people with mental health issues, I loved the work I did but it was a violent setting at times and I left due to the stress. I hope to go back to social care in 2019 to work with young people," she said.

Aisling is passionate about caring for the environment.

"I have a huge interest in doing what I can for the environment and I encourage others to recycle and to buy locally sourced ingredients and recyclable materials. I would describe myself as well spoken and determined when it comes to things I care about," she said.

Aisling's sponsor is Treacy's Bar & Restaurant, and her chosen sports club for the Laois Rose Selection Night raffle, is The Heath GAA.
