Laois Rose Grainne Hogan shone in a beautiful blue dress last night on the live television interview for the Rose of Tralee.

Grainne works full time as a farmer and showed presenter Dáithí Ó Sé the ropes of how to milk a cow, albeit a plastic one! See how Twitter reacted here.

Following the first night of interviews and entertainment, Paddy Power has placed Grainne 16th in the rankings to take the Rose of Tralee crown at 33/1 odds.

Waterford Rose Kirsten Mate Maher is favourite after night one at 13/8 with Carlow Rose Shauna Ray Lacey second at 3/1.

As the winner will be crowned by the Rose of Tralee judges, the betting odds are just one guideline to try and predict the next Rose to be crowned ahead of the big announcement.
