St Patrick's weekend saw two local sports club come together to welcome a Canadian Rugby team to Portarlington. Portarlington RFC and Banrion Gaels Camogie club players came together to put on skills demonstration for their Canadian counterparts while the PortDara RFC under 18 girls team played the Canadian club, Bayside, from Vancouver in a friendly match.
The Banrion Gaels Camogie club then showed the International visitors the skills of Camogie in a real show of Community spirit last Saturday morning.
Michael Scully was there for the Leinster Express to capture the day.
