Evin Keane shoots for goal against Ballyfin Gaels on Sunday in the relegation semi-final Pic: Denis Byrne
A stunning haul of 2-10 (with 2-6 coming from play) from talisman Evin Keane ensured The Heath of their survival in the Laois senior football championship for next year, and also meant he took the outright lead in the overall scoring charts for this week. Unfortunately for him, The Heath's year is now finished, and he will soon be overtaken at the top of the scoring stats.
Gary Walsh, Matthew Finlay, Ross Munnelly and Jody Dillon all had strong displays at the weekend as well, and are hot on Keane's heals, who's also currently the joint top scorer from play as well, alongside Paul Kingston. Kingston helped Arles-Killeen ensure survival in the other relegation semi-final at the weekend, scoring two points for his side
