Extremely windy weather warning issued Met Éireann

The settled weather is set to break with a bang with the issuing of Met Éireann weather warning for 'extremely windy' weather this week.

The forecaster has issued a Status Yellow Weather Warning for Wednesday evening and night and for a time on Thursday morning, south to southwest winds, veering westerly, will reach mean speeds of 55 to 65 km/hr with gusts of 90 to 110 km/hr. Winds will be strongest in coastal areas.

The warninig is valid for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal and Clare but the forecaster says it will be extremely windy nationwide.
