Weather at the Electric Picnic on Sunday.

Electric Picnic revellers have had lovely weather so far but Met Éireann advises that some rain is in the forecast.

Stradbally in Laois basked in warm sunshine on Sunday morning but warns that rain in western coastal counties, will move eastward during the afternoon and evening, but become more scattered.

It warns that there is a risk of some heavy bursts in some eastern areas later this afternoon or this evening.

However, it will remain warm with afternoon highs of 17 to 20 degrees Celsius. Where the sun shines it will reach 23 degrees Celsius.

As darkness falls on Sunday, Met Éireann said rain is expected in many places for a time tonight. It will clear southeastwards overnight, as cooler and clearer weather follows from the northwest. Minimum temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees Celsius, coolest in the northwest.

As people leave the site on Monday it will be mostly dry but cooler and fresher. It is expected to be generally bright with good sunny spells. Moderate westerly breezes and much fresher with highest temperatures 15 to 17 or possibly 18 degrees Celsius.
